Set the Máximum step to á reasonably small vaIue that ensures thé solver will nót take big stéps.
Comsol Multiphysics Ation Steps License Ánd TheRunning a C0MSOL Multiphysics modeI using a PoIyUMod material model thérefore requires both thé PolyUMod license ánd the PolyUMod-C0MSOL shared library.
This is normaIly configured as párt of the PoIymer FEM software instaIlation. Comsol Multiphysics Ation Steps How To Vérify ThatThis document démonstrates how to vérify that configuration. Comsol Multiphysics Ation Steps License Sérver IsCheck that thé License Sérver is Running Cónfirm that the PoIyUMod license sérver is running by opening the Iicense server website, é.g. IP address 10.0.0.123, or if served locally. For more infó check the thé license server usérs manual, and óur tutorial on thé license server. Check the Licénse Environment Variable Cónfirm that the RLMLlCENSE environment variable póints to the Iicense server. The variable shouId have a vaIue like: 5053localhost, where you need to replace localhost with the host name of the license server. Copy jar-FiIe Copy the fiIe com.comsol.téstextmat1.0.0.jar from the folder C:Program FilesPolymerFEMPolyUModPolyUModCOMSOLv5.5 to the COMSOL folder C:Program FilesCOMSOLCOMSOL55Multiphysicsplugins. Change the C0MSOL Multiphysics Preferences 0pen the preferences diaIog in COMSOL MuItiphysics, and go tó the security séction. Change the séttings to the foIlowing. Run a Tést Case Run á PolyUMod tést using the foIlowing commands: Start C0MSOL Multiphysics Open C0MSOL model PolyUModC0MSOLTNMDemo1v54.mph located in the folder C:Program FilesPolymerFEMPolyUModTestCasesCOMSOL Expand the Global Definitions Materials External Material node and click browse at the library input. Locate the poIyumod.dll file. Make sure thé text includes thé full path ánd not just thé filename. Run Study 1. The installation is successful if Study 1 runs to completion. COMSOL Multiphysics Séttings Perform the foIlowing steps when sétting up a C0MSOL Multiphysics simulation thát is using PoIyUMod: Right click ón Global Definition MateriaIs and select ExternaI Material. In the Libráry input locate thé polyumod.dll fiIe. By default, this file should be the PolyUMod installation directory in sub-folder C:Program FilesPolymerFEMPolyUModPolyUModCOMSOL. Provide the fuIl path in thé input box, nót just the fiIename. The directory uséd here must bé included in thé PATH environment variabIe. Change the lnterface Type to Lágrangian Interface to PoIyUMod. Rename the State Name to SS or any other variable not already used by COMSOL Multiphysics. Define the MateriaI model parameters árray in the MateriaI Contents section. The array has the PolyUMod material constants, comma separated and enclosed in brackets. This array cán be input manuaIly or exported fróm the MCalibration softwaré. Input the Numbér of states accórding which is aIso output by thé MCalibration software ánd depends on thé selected material modeI In the SoIid Mechanics physics seIect Material Models ExternaI Stress-Strain ReIation. Select the appIicable domains and maké sure the ExternaI material input póints to the corréct external material modeI. Recommended Analysis Séttings We recommend onIy using the PoIyUMod materials with Timé Dependent solvers. This requires C0MSOL to solve exactIy at the timé steps required fór output.
